Maruti Suzuki finally launched its new flagship SUV, the Grand Vitara, in India on September 26, 2022. The SUV is a sister model to the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and it competes with other compact SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Nissan Kicks, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun.
Maruti Grand Vitara Variants
The Grand Vitara is offered in six variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi+, ZXi+ Hybrid and ZXi+ AWD Hybrid. The SUV comes with two petrol-hybrid powertrain options: a 1.5-litre K15C engine with a mild-hybrid system and a 1.5-litre TNGA engine with a strong-hybrid system. The former produces 103hp and 138Nm of torque while the latter delivers 116hp and 148Nm of torque.
The K15C engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission while the TNGA engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or an e-CVT automatic transmission. The TNGA engine also gets an all-wheel drive option for better off-road performance.

Maruti Grand Vitara Colour Options
The price of the Grand Vitara ranges from Rs. 9 .99 lakh to Rs. 14 .99 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant and powertrain option. The SUV is available in five colour options:
- Pearl White Metallic
- Solid Fire Red
- Metallic Silky Silver
- Metallic Granite Grey
- and Metallic Cosmic Black.
