Lock Screens

The new Lock Screen in iOS 16 is fully editable on the iPhone. The background, time style, text, font, and colour can all be customised now. There is no longer a limit to the number of lock screens available, and quickly swiping, holding, and touching the screen is all it takes to switch between them. You can also switch your concentration with this function. In this way, you can set a work-appropriate lock screen when you’re at the office and a personal one when you’re at home. The lock screen can be edited as well. You can now choose from a variety of emotive typefaces when editing the text that appears on your lock screen. Widgets can be added to the lock screen so that information such as the current temperature, battery life, and signal strength can be viewed even when the iPhone is locked.

Passkey

Apple has now introduced passkeys to replace the passwords to sign in on the web. Passkey cannot be stole and cannot be leaked by anyone. This is secure mechanism to use password. Whenever you want to log in to the website, you can use the FaceID to log in and if you are loggin in to the other devices, then you can simply show the QR code to the other device and you will be logged in to the website. Apple has integrated this feature in iOS 16, the passkey will be synchronize to all other Apple devices you own.

Now this feature is being integrated by Google also to completely remove passwords from life.

Live Text

In iOS 15, the photos app integrated with the text copy option, if there is any text in the photo, then you can easily copy the text by a small icon the right bottom, the icon will appear as soon as it discovers the text in the photo otherwise it will be invisible.

Now in iOS 16, the same feature has been integrated in the video also “Live Text in Videos”, if you like any text in the video, then pause the video and copy the text and paste it in Notes, Word, Docs, Message, Email or anywhere in the phone. This features saves a lot of time.

Object Detection from Photos App

Now another best feature of the iPhone is when you tap and hold on to any photo it will take the object and remove all its background. So you can simply put your phone in your photo or any object into any backdrop. So now this is a very cool feature and the morning feature that has been integrated with iOS. You can share also share it with anyone.

Messages

Another cool and important feature introduced by the iOS is the messages app update, suppose you have sent a message in hurry, and after 5 minutes of sending the message, you want to change something in the message, in this case with the update of iOS 16 you can edit the message within 15 minutes of sending it and if you feel that you had mistakenly sent a message to anyone then it allows you the option to undo the notification within 2 minutes of sending.
